A sales prospecting tool for territory-based, local selling
If you sell to businesses in a given area, prospecting is largely a territory problem: which businesses exist, which are worth a visit or a call, and which have you already touched. LeadsMint treats a search as a slice of your territory. You define the slice, look through it at no cost, and pay a credit only for the businesses you decide to work.
Slicing a territory into searches
A search is one business type around one point with a radius of 1 to 50 km. To map a larger territory, run several searches: one per business type, or one per neighbourhood. Because a single search returns a limited set of results (currently up to 60), smaller slices usually surface more of the businesses than one large search.
A practical order is to start with the densest area, unlock your best matches, and then move outward. Your CRM records which search found each lead, so you can see which slices have been worked.
Qualifying from the results list
Result rows show a rating and general area while the name is locked. You can sort by rating, select the interesting rows, and use the website filter to separate businesses with no website from the rest. Use these signals to decide, not to judge: a high rating suggests an established business, while a missing website may suggest an opening for certain offers.
Recording outreach
Once a business is unlocked you can look up its listed phone number and website and contact it using your own phone and email. Then record the outcome: set the status, add a contact, write a note. The leads list filters by status so you can prioritise Follow-up leads each morning. For the CRM side in detail, see lead management CRM.
How it differs from other prospecting approaches
- Manual map searching: free, but nothing is recorded and results are tied to the map view.
- Directories: useful for some trades, often incomplete or paid, and not organised for follow-up.
- Scraped lists: large but prone to errors and restricted by Google Maps Platform terms; LeadsMint does not offer bulk data export.
- Full enterprise sales platforms: powerful, but heavier and costlier than a small team needs for local prospecting.
Best suited to
Field sales, inside sales covering a region, and independent consultants who prospect specific towns or districts. Less suited to account-based selling into large enterprises, where you need org charts and verified executive contacts that LeadsMint does not provide.
A checklist before you start a territory
- Write down the business types that fit your offer, in priority order.
- List the areas you can realistically cover and how far you can travel.
- Decide how many accounts you can work properly in a week.
- Choose the signals you will use to qualify, such as rating or no listed website.
- Decide when you will review follow-ups so they do not pile up.
Having these answers first turns searching into a routine instead of an open-ended browse.
Frequently asked questions
Can several salespeople share one account?
LeadsMint does not offer team workspaces today. Accounts are for individual use, and the Terms say accounts should not be shared.
How do I choose a radius?
Use a smaller radius in dense cities and a larger one in sparse areas. See how to find businesses by industry and location.
Try the workflow yourself
Searching is free. Unlock a business for one credit when it is worth pursuing, and it goes straight into your CRM. Plans and credit packs are on the pricing section of the homepage.
