Business prospecting software for finding and qualifying local companies
Prospecting is the stage before selling: working out which businesses are worth contacting and in what order. Business prospecting software speeds that stage up by letting you search a market, narrow it down and keep a record of what you decide. LeadsMint focuses on local businesses: you search an area for free, qualify results from what is visible, and unlock only the businesses you intend to pursue.
What prospecting involves
- Define who you sell to: business type, area and any simple filter such as having no website.
- Find candidates in that segment.
- Qualify them quickly using what you can see, before you invest time.
- Make first contact and record what happened.
- Follow up, and move each prospect through your sales stages until it becomes a customer or drops out.
Spreadsheets cope with steps 1 and 2 for a while but struggle by step 4. LeadsMint covers all five in one place, with deliberately simple tools.
Qualify before you spend credits
Because search is free, you can look at many more businesses than you unlock. Each result shows its rating and general area, and you can sort by rating or limit the search to businesses without a website. A practical approach is to review a full page of results, select the few that match your ideal customer, and unlock only those.
If you are selling something a no-website filter fits (a basic website, local listings, online booking), that filter is a quick way to build a short, relevant list. If it does not fit, choose All businesses and qualify by rating and location instead. Be realistic: a rating and an area are not a full picture of a business, so treat them as signals rather than proof.
Keep a record of every prospect
Unlocked businesses are added to your CRM. For each one you can add a primary contact and role, notes, tags, and a status from New through to Converted or Not Interested. The timeline of actions on a lead means you can come back a week later and see where you left off. The leads list filters by status and supports search, so you can pull up everything marked Follow-up in a couple of clicks.
You can also add businesses by hand, for example a referral or a company you met at an event, so your CRM is not limited to what came from search. See the lead management CRM page for details.
What LeadsMint does not do
- It does not send emails or place calls. You contact prospects with your own tools.
- It does not supply email addresses or decision-maker names.
- It does not score leads automatically or predict who will buy.
- It does not provide team workspaces or shared pipelines today.
If your process depends on those, LeadsMint can still handle discovery and tracking while you use other tools for the rest. For a closer look at the discovery stage, see the sales prospecting tool page.
How you pay
You pay for credits, not for searching. Monthly subscriptions add credits each month, and one-time packs add a fixed number with no recurring billing. One credit unlocks one business. Current plans and prices are on the pricing section.
Frequently asked questions
Is this enterprise sales software?
No. LeadsMint is a lightweight tool for individuals and small teams prospecting local businesses. It does not replace a full enterprise CRM.
Can I use it to prospect online-only companies?
It is built around local businesses that appear on Google Maps. Online-only companies without a physical presence are unlikely to appear.
Try the workflow yourself
Searching is free. Unlock a business for one credit when it is worth pursuing, and it goes straight into your CRM. Plans and credit packs are on the pricing section of the homepage.
